Grievance Redressal & Data Protection Officer (DPO)

In India, the right to privacy is a constitutional promise and now a statutory reality under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. At CreditVanta.com, we treat grievances as opportunities to do better. This page sets out how you can reach us, what to include, and how we will respond—swiftly, candidly, and lawfully.

1) Appointment & mandate

Pursuant to the IT Act, IT Rules, 2011, and DPDP Act, 2023, we designate the following officer for grievances, privacy requests, and legal notices:

  • Liaise with competent authorities and, if necessary, the Data Protection Board of India.

We do not knowingly process children’s data for profiling or targeted advertising. If you are a parent/guardian seeking deletion or correction, contact the DPO with reasonable proof of relationship.

7) Data security & breach handling

We follow reasonable security practices (access controls, encryption in transit, least-privilege access, periodic audits). In the unlikely event of a data breach impacting your rights, we will assess notifiability and respond in line with Indian law.

8) Content takedown (IT Act compliance)

If you believe content hosted by us violates the law or your rights, please email the DPO with:

  • URL(s) in question;
  • Nature of violation (defamation, IP infringement, court order reference, etc.);

    We will review swiftly and take appropriate action consistent with due process.

9) Non-discrimination

Exercising your privacy rights will not result in unfair treatment. We may, however, be unable to provide certain features if specific processing is essential to those features.

10) Escalation

If you are dissatisfied with our response, you may—subject to applicable law—approach the Data Protection Board of India or the competent court having jurisdiction at [Insert City, e.g., New Delhi/Mumbai].
